A rose by any other name

We used to live on the fifth floor of a condo. As hard as we tried to keep a little garden in bloom there, sadly it wasn't easy due to the lack of sunlight and high winds. A few months ago we moved into a house and have been able to enjoy the pleasure of having a garden of our own. The previous owners kept a few rose bushes on the property which are now in bloom -- so here are a few of our Bermuda roses.

Welcome to my blog.

I created this space because beauty -- in all of its different forms -- makes me happy; I am inspired by the aethestically pleasing. By day I am a number-cruncher, but my life outside of the office is spent in the pursuit of living a beautiful life, whether it involves taking in the view of the harbour on our drive home; rearranging a corner of our living room to create a cosy nook for relaxing; enjoying a glass of wine during a night in with my husband; discovering a new outfit in my wardrobe created by putting two unexpected pieces together; letting the scent of a lit candle permeate the air; or capturing an image on my camera in the most perfect light imaginable.

I'm looking forward to sharing that with you, and hoping you might find some of it beautiful, too.
